Homeopathy in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
This is the current name for the syndrome characterized by debilitating fatigue and a variety of associated physical, constitutional, and psychological complaints.
Women are twice as likely to suffer from it as men are. The patients are usually in the age-group 25-45 years, though cases in childhood and middle age are described.
Homeopaths believe in treating the patient who has the disease and not the disease in the patient. Hence, homeopathy is more likely to help such cases. The constitutional remedy selected on the basis of a detailed history and examination would bring the patient back to normal activity.

Biochemic Drugs in Pregnancy
The Biochemic System of Medicine is an off shoot of homeopathy. Dr. Wilhelm Schuessler, a German homeopath, developed it. He believed that disease is caused by the deficiency of inorganic salts in the human organism………… This article is for women who are experiencing the most eventful months in their life. Pregnancy, though a physiological state, can leave a woman with either pleasant experiences, or bitter experiences- if she develops some complications.

One man’s food is another man’s poison
Whether poison or food, homeopathy can make a substance very useful in the treatment of diseases……….. Common salt or sodium chloride is one such substance. A regular article of our diet, it is probably used only by homeopaths as a medicine.

Can bugs determine our behavior?
I chanced upon this article in The Economist of September 3rd-9th 2011 which talks about the experiments performed on rodents and suggests that bacteria dwelling in the gut can affect the brain, and thereby influence an individual’s mood and behavior.
This idea is not new at all. Homeopaths have been aware of the effect of the bowel flora on the health for almost a hundred years. This was first highlighted by John Paterson in the early 1900s.
It is heartening to note that what was published by a homeopath in the early 20th century is being confirmed by modern day researchers.

Homeopathy in PMS
Mrs. ABC, 35 years old, came to me complaining of extreme swings in her mood, introspection and suicidal thoughts…………
One can label a person as suffering from PMS if a group of symptoms recurs in the same fashion and is relieved with the appearance of the menses.
Constitutional treatment by a good and qualified homeopath will surely help in PMS.

Does homeopathy work in animals?
The answer is an emphatic YES. Homeopathy can be used to treat animals. We have been treating some of our patients’ pets with homeopathy for the past 25 years…… It can treat not only simple derangements of health but even serious conditions of the lungs and the heart.
So the next time your pet is ill consider homeopathy. Remember, he is a part of your family and deserves to be treated well.

Anti Tobacco Day- May 31
Not many people know that those who sport moustaches and smoke are at a greater risk because the smoke as well as the other compounds (read toxins) released are adsorbed onto the bushes on the upper lip.

Homeopathy- no resistance
Antimicrobial resistance has often pushed back all the breakthroughs and technological advancement of modern medicine. The theme for this year’s World Health Day was the launch of a worldwide campaign to safeguard these medicines for future generations.
Homeopathy has this unique feature that there can never be a resistance to the drugs.

Homeopathy in Heart Disease?
People often scoff at the fact that homeopathic medicines may be useful in treating various heart diseases. Homeopathy is useful in cardiac neurosis- esp. post infarction and post by-pass surgery, hypertension, chronic ischemic heart disease, heart diseases that are secondary to other systemic diseases and of course rejected cases. When the pathology is prominent and there are plenty of signs as well as symptoms pointing to an organic lesion, the homeopathic medicine will not be able to cure or reverse the disease process, but will help in preventing further progress and let the patient lead a more comfortable life.
